SK ID Solutions Issued Almost Three Million Certificates in Lithuania in 2025

07.05.2026
Almost 3 million valid qualified e-signature certificates in Lithuania were issued through SK ID Solutions services in 2025, the latest data by the Communications Regulatory Authority (RRT) shows. With 2.99 million certificates, SK accounted for 91.9% of all valid qualified e-signature certificates in the country, reflecting both its leading role in Lithuania’s e-signature market and the trust users place in our services. The total number of valid certificates in Lithuania reached 3.26 million by the end of the year.

According to RRT’s annual report on Trust Services in Lithuania, mobile-based solutions remain the preferred choice among residents. In this segment, SK accounted for 98.9% of all valid qualified e-signature certificates, driven by the widespread use of Smart-ID and Mobile-ID.

By the end of 2025, the number of certificates issued with Smart-ID reached 2,525,380, up from 2,411,891 a year earlier. Mobile-ID accounted for 469,130 certificates, compared to 457,117 in 2024.

Evaldas Stonkus, Country Manager of SK ID Solutions in Lithuania, says the results reflect the importance of secure and convenient digital tools in people’s everyday lives.

“The latest RRT data confirms that mobile-based e-identity solutions have become the standard for digital life in Lithuania. We are proud that our infrastructure supports the vast majority of digital transactions, which shows SK’s tools are the backbone of Lithuania’s digital ecosystem.”

The RRT report indicates that while 4 out of 10 Lithuanians used a qualified e-signature in 2025, there is still significant potential for growth. A survey commisioned by RRT showed many residents expressed a desire for more services to be available electronically.

“45% of those not yet using e-signatures feel there are not enough places to use them. This is a clear signal that expanding secure digital access, especially in the public sector, is essential to making state services more convenient for citizens,” Stonkus added.

SK ID Solutions will continue working with both private and public sector partners to support the wider use of secure digital identity and e-signature services in Lithuania, helping residents access everyday services safely, conveniently and with tools they already know and trust.
