On 2^nd of October, SK ID Solutions and Armenia’s trust service provider imID signed a strategic partnership agreement. According to the contract, imID will adapt and localize SK ID Solutions’ internationally proven split key technology within Armenia’s advanced technical infrastructure to launch the imID Digital ID App. The new solution is designed to provide citizens, businesses, and public institutions with secure identity verification, legally binding electronic signatures, and seamless access to the digital economy.

He added that the imID Digital ID App will be developed for Armenia, rooted in international standards and expertise, which has the potential to deliver lasting benefits for citizens, businesses, and institutions. “We hope that this is the first step in long and fruitful cooperation and collaboration between our two companies.”.

This new partnership reflects Armenia’s broader digital transformation agenda by expanding secure access to essential services across banking, telecommunications, and the public sector. It also ensures that Armenia’s digital trust framework is fully aligned with European eIDAS standards, paving the way for international recognition and future cross-border interoperability.

With this agreement, imID reinforces its mission to empower citizens and institutions with trusted digital services, while Armenia takes a significant leap toward becoming a regional leader in digital identity and trust solutions.

The cooperation officially kicked off with the signing ceremony and press conference, followed by a Q&A session with the media and a tour in the imID office.
