What is it?
The validity confirmation service is used for verification of the validity of certificates in real time, thus ensuring secure use of certificates for authentication of persons or for digital signing.
The validity confirmation service is suitable for e-services that can be used with an ID-card, Mobile-ID or e-Seal or where you can give digital signatures.
SK's validity confirmation service gives digital signatures created in DDOC or BDOC format a legal basis. With the help of the service an automatic electronic notation is added to digital signatures that records the time of the signature and shows the validity of the certificate the signature was created with. Signatures in ASiC-E format require an additional time stamp for confirming the time - SK-s Time-Stamping Service is perfect for this.
Validity confirmations of certificates issued are preserved in a secure database that allows for verifying them for certification purposes, where necessary. The hash included in the validity confirmation does not contain information about the content of the signed document.
